Walk / Cycle / Bus Class Challenge Day
The next Class Challenge Day is on Wednesday 11th October; please remember if you live in Tiverton, Uffculme, Willand, Wellington or Westleigh you can park in the Village Hall Car Park and walk to school from there.
Winter Coats
As the weather is now becoming wetter, it is very important that all children have a waterproof coat with a hood in school every day.
Head Lice
Please be aware that we have had a case of head-lice reported again this week; please check your child's hair regularly (daily if possible) and treat as necessary.
If your child has long hair please keep it tied back.
Macbeth DVD's
To reserve your copy of this DVD please return the slip attached to this letter with £8 for each DVD ordered.
School Photographer
The school photographer will be coming to take individual photographs next Tuesday, 10th October; please ensure your child is clean and tidy uniform. Please fill in the form attached to this letter if you require a family photograph; family photographs will be from 2.30pm onwards.

If you would like to help raise money for school funds by buying your cards, paper etc from the school Webb Ivory catalogue please return the attached slip.
Smile International – Christmas Shoe-Boxes
This year we are taking part in the shoebox appeal for Smile International.

I have a supply of leaflets in the office giving details of what to do.
ALL BOXES HAVE TO BE IN BEFORE WE BREAK UP FOR HALF TERM.
If you would like to take part in this very worthwhile scheme, and provide a present for child who otherwise will probably receive nothing at all, please call into the office for a leaflet.

Westleigh & Burlescombe Playing Field Committee
50/50 Club
Westleigh & Burlescombe Playing Field Committee are now taking money for their 50/50 Club; you pay £10 a year, and every month someone wins a 1st prize of £20 and a 2nd prize of £10. Twice a year, June and December, it's a win of £50 and £30. This money goes towards the children's Christmas party, which includes an entertainer, present and tea, all free. If anyone would like to join please see Neen or Steph with your £10 as soon as possible. Thanks to those who already participate.
